Dr. Lisa Avery

Dr. Lisa Avery is the seventh president of Linn-Benton Community College, which is one of the largest community colleges in Oregon. She previously served as the president of Portland Community College’s Sylvania Campus. During her time at PCC, Dr. Avery advocated for equitable student success, increased student access, sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Lisa’s advocacy for Oregon’s community colleges has included testimony on the Community College Support Fund, Applied Baccalaureate Programs, the Community College Transfer Bill, and Capital Projects.
