Dr. Shari Peterson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University, Masters of Education and PhD in Educational Psychology from University of Nevada Las Vegas. Shari joined the College of Southern Nevada in 1996 as a dental hygiene instructor and has been the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Accreditation, and Strategic Planning for the past 10 years. She serves at CSN’s Accreditation Liaison Officer and is a fellow of the inaugural NWCCU Mission Fulfillment Fellowship in 2018. Shari is an advocate for authentic assessment practices, implementing quality assurance practices, and using data-informed decision-making. She is an author on change agent practices, collaboration and negotiation as well as presented on assessment practices, accreditation, and determining institutional effectiveness.
