Jacqueline Summers is the CEO of Paxaro Solutions, a business providing development workshops, program design, project management, facilitation, grant research, and grant writing services. Inspired by the resilience and resourcefulness of the Black Capped Chickadee and named after the Galician word for “little bird”, Paxaro Solutions brings creativity and diligence to each project. To mentor and assist other entrepreneurs, she is an active member of the Alaska startup and innovation entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Over the last three years, Summers has worked closely with the Mat-Su Health Foundation to facilitate the Workforce Development Network, a collaborative group coordinating healthcare workforce training organizations and initiatives, including university partners both inside and outside of Alaska. Additionally, as part of the Workforce Development Network, she’s led the successful effort to reestablish the Statewide Alaska Health Workforce Coalition through aligning it with the Alaska Safety/Workforce Alliance and the State of Alaska Workforce Investment Board.

Summers is also the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Health TIE, an Alaskan healthcare innovation hub. As Executive Director, Summers has improved Alaskan healthcare through partnering with healthcare startup companies and innovators, elevating their work, making connections, and launching Alaska-based pilot projects that directly address Alaska healthcare challenges.

Jacqueline Summers has a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Colorado, Bouder and a Master of Adult Education form the University of Alaska Anchorage. She lives in Anchorage, Alaska, plays outdoors as much as she can, and is the mother of Malin and Shay Shumaker.
