There are over 1,700 teachers in Blue Valley Schools who are committed to providing a personalized learning experience for more than 22,000 students. Each teacher strives to help every student experience academic success and personal growth. It is this dedication and commitment that rose to the top as Niche K-12 named Blue Valley the Best Place to Teach in Kansas and Blue Valley teachers the Best Public School Teachers in Kansas.

“Blue Valley strives to provide experiences for both out staff and students that far exceed expectations,” said Mike Seitz, board of education president. “This honor reflects the investment the district has made, and continues to make, in its teachers. We are fortunate to have teachers who carry that forth to their students.”

Niche K-12 rankings utilized various government and public data sets, as well as opinion-based survey responses, to provide comprehensive assessments of districts and teachers across the nation and state. Specific factors considered included academics, teacher salary, student-teacher ratio, overall experience and more.

“We are thrilled with these rankings,” said Dr. Al Hanna, interim superintendent. “Blue Valley has always been committed to having the best teachers who are focused on doing what is best for kids. We strengthen that commitment by providing the support and environment our teachers need to provide an Education Beyond Expectations for students.”
