President, Jarrod Hogue, Clatsop Community College
Jarrod Hogue became president of Clatsop Community College on August 21, 2024.
Prior to his appointment at Clatsop Community College, Hogue was the principal of Math Mentors, a math tutoring company he founded in 2022. He previously spent 14 years working at Mount Hood Community College, serving as executive dean and chief academic officer and overseeing career and technical education, workforce development, and high school and community education programs.
Hogue holds an M.S. in teaching and learning from Northern State University and a B.S. in criminal justice from Western Oregon University.
Interim President, Emily Parkhurst, Cornish College of the Arts
Emily Parkhurst was appointed interim president of Cornish College in July 2024. Previously, Parkhurst served on the Cornish College Board for five years, two of which she acted as chairperson.
Parkhurst is the founder and CEO of Formidable, a media company geared toward high-level women executives. Parkhurst spent her early career as an adjunct professor at several colleges in Maine, where she also covered education at a newspaper in Falmouth. Parkhurst moved to Seattle in 2012, and eventually served as a reporter, editor, and then publisher at the Puget Sound Business Journal. She is also a former professional musician.
She holds a master’s degree in creative writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a Bachelor’s of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Southern Maine.
Interim President, Teresa Rich, Yakima Valley College
Teresa Rich was appointed interim president of Yakima Valley College in July 2024. She has more than two decades of experience in higher education accounting and administrative services, including 23 years at YVC, 18 of those as vice president for administrative services. She also serves as a member of the Washington Community and Technical College Strategic Technology Advisory Committee, focused on making statewide recommendations for the use of technology in Washington state community and technical colleges.
Rich has worked extensively in safety, security and emergency preparedness in higher education, is a member of the Association of Government Accountants and Rotary International, and serves on the board for Apprisen, a national non-profit focusing on consumer credit counseling. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Central Washington University and a PhD in education with a focus on community college leadership from Oregon State University.
