For the last six years, the Mission Fulfillment & Sustainability (MFS) Fellowship has brought together teams of institutional representatives from around the region as Fellows to advance their institution’s planning and assessment practices and quality improvement activities with regard to equitable student learning and/or student achievement. Fellows work with national and regional thought leaders to build upon their understanding of assessment and institutional success. Speakers include luminaries in the field of assessment and institutional change: Peter Ewell, Jillian Kinzie, Adrianna Kezar, Natasha Jankowski, Shauna Davis, Paul Gaston, and others.
At NWCCU’s Annual Conference in November, nearly 200 attendees joined us for the three concurrent sessions featuring MFS Fellows as they shared the exciting results of the Fellowship projects at eight of our member institutions. Additionally, we celebrated our three Beacon Award-winning institutions: University of Puget Sound and two institutions that participated in the MFS Fellowship in recent years, Nightingale College (Cohort Two) and Western Washington University (Cohort Three). Both teams completed projects related to improving the data and planning systems at their institutions, which have had a long-term positive impact on their continuous improvement efforts.
The deadline for application/nomination to join Cohort Seven of the NWCCU Mission Fulfillment & Sustainability Fellowship (2025-26) has been extended to January 10, 2025, to allow application development and submission by those who were inspired by the amazing work shared by MFS Fellows at the Conference. Fellows will be announced on or before February 7, 2025. The online application is available at: https://nwccu.org/fellowship.
