Dr. Stefani Hicswa, Chancellor of Montana State University Billings, will represent Montana institutions of higher education. Dr. Hicswa will serve out the two-year unexpired term of Commissioner Waded Cruzado, President of Montana State University, who has stepped down from the NWCCU Board.

Dr. Brad L. Mortensen, President of Weber State University, will serve out the one-year unexpired term of Commissioner Brad Cook, former President of Snow College, who has stepped down from the NWCCU Board.
Public Representation
Mr. Kevin Melcher
Public Member
Mr. Kevin Melcher, former Regent of the Nevada System of Higher Education and Chairperson for the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada, will serve the first three-year term starting in 2022 as a Public Member. Mr. Melcher takes over the position held by Commissioner Jan Lombardi, JML Strategy, Helena, MT, who completed two, three-year terms.
OUT-OF-Region Representation

Dr. Joseph Schaffer, President of Laramie County Community College, will serve the first three-year term starting in 2022 as an Out-of-Region Member. Dr. Shaffer takes over the position held by Commissioner John Scaringe, President of Southern California University of Health Sciences, who completed two, three-year terms.
